One of the many luxury holiday hotels in that area I should imagine. Not that it matters for a chess tournament, but end October/early November is when the rains and storms come.

Perhaps there's a clashing Draughts tournament, but Ivanchuk isn't playing either. No Carlsen, with Hammer and Tari the top 2 for Norway.

England's declared line up is
Howell David W L 2701
Mcshane Luke J 2647
Short Nigel D 2698
Adams Michael 2738
Jones Gawain C B 2668

Presumably Adams returns to board 1 when the board order has to be finalised.

No Wales or Ireland, Scotland have
Burnett Andrew 2226
Berry Neil 2283
Grant Jonathan I M 2179
Morrison Graham 2278
Tate Alan 2366

Poor Nigel. He's now botched it beyond redemption, a game he was hitherto never losing. Why do I so relate to this? :(

Luke must now strive to save the match. Not easy
