Roddy McKay appears to have blundered a piece early on Board 4 in the Scotland match.
good grief yes, but he had managed to get a pretty poor position already.

Howell has eschewed repetition for now, though it seems that he can always change his mind. SF assessment seems to change, without obvious explanation, so if he has anything much better, it is not evident. He might want to play on, because as well as Adams needing to play very accurately, the Azeris sems to be comfortably playing for two results only on board four.

There might in fact be a repetition soon in Naiditsch v Howell, with a real possibility of four draws in the match, but board one remains the one to watch
Online Stockfish he say Mickey busted if Shak had played 27 d7 Rd8 28 Nf5 Kh7 29 Bxf7. Fortunately he didn't.

It still wants him to dob Shak the f7 pawn though, about which it's more sanguine than I would be.

There's one in Sasikiran-Shankland if you're desperate!
Rock and roll. No Nc3, that's interesting.
Draw for Black in 21, who could ask for more

China look comfortable though they might not maintain 100% with White

Kramnik likely to lose to make Poland-Russia 1.5-1.5. Russia will probably win but online Stockfish says Jakovenko missed a kill a few moves ago.

CORRECTION> Jakovenko's opponent missed the win, and now the most likely match result is 2-2.

Queen of Katwe missed a likely win against ireland's Diana Mirza who is now a pawn up.

You sure about that? I can see Dragun's missed a chance or two.

Yes see my correction; I misread the names, thinking Jakovenko was Black.

Maybe Dragun still has some chances with B,N+2 v R+2.

That's quite an interesting blunder in its way.

As is that one. I wonder if he didn't consider ...Qf4 because of c4, not noticing that he could re-block the long diagonal with ...f6, precisely because he'd vacated that square with his queen.

Norway look like whitewashing Iceland, who they only outgrade by about 80 points cumulatively.
