Scotland was on the list of those nominating Makro.

But the ECF nominated Nigel, so it doesn't always indicate voting intent on election day.

Upthread Andy Howie suggested he knew in advance. Were Scotland planning on voting for Nigel?
Very generous if they were, since he neither thinks they should exist as a federation nor that Scotland exists as a nation

Gelfer et al were just taking the ballot box out of the assembly. So counting has not yet begun.

Whenever it takes this long there has to be a sneaking suspicion that one of the tellers has sneaked off to the bookies. Perhaps that's the alternative to sponsorship?

apparently:
While the sun is getting weaker in Batumi, the votes are still being (recounted). It should be done soon now.
Not sure if that is a formal recount (because it was close), or just a normal routine recounting check.
Presumably the (remaining) candidates are told first who won, and then the Assembly.
