The 14th player will be announced in December, when it is known who will be the highest ranked player in the ACP Competition with a rating under 2750 on 1 December. The participants of the Tata Steel Challengers will be announced at the same time.

Things were never that bad in Horwich when Horwich RMI played there (not even the football!)

In today's final unfinished game Shankland is about to beat Rapport, which would mean no White wins in the first 2 rounds

Just how useless are you as clairvoyant, analyst, and informant?
Granted, after 74. Nf8???????? [-6.80], you might imagine Shankland stood well. But this is Wijk-aan-Zee, not the Ambleside & District Div 4. So
anything can happen. And it did. A draw!

Of course. The Ambleside & District Division 4 probably has adjudications, so no one has ever reached move 74.
