 Challengers full pairings and schedule

chess and football

We'd give that a go here in Bolton, but the stadium might get repossessed before the end of the tournament

Things were never that bad in Horwich when Horwich RMI played there (not even the football!) :)

In today's final unfinished game Shankland is about to beat Rapport, which would mean no White wins in the first 2 rounds

Just how useless are you as clairvoyant, analyst, and informant?

Granted, after 74. Nf8???????? [-6.80], you might imagine Shankland stood well. But this is Wijk-aan-Zee, not the Ambleside & District Div 4. So anything can happen. And it did. A draw!

Of course. The Ambleside & District Division 4 probably has adjudications, so no one has ever reached move 74. :P
