The numbers can be explained in part by the fact that they're the figures up to the end of April 2011. We've had about six months since then. That's plenty of time to have made another £1000 on it.

That is on an expenditure in the accounts of £8,179 during 2011 is it?

What is that expenditure allegedly attributed to?

The main investment during 2011 on CoM has been the time resources of myself and Stewart Reuben which has been charged at zero per hour developing the FIDE Arbiters test.

No certs have been awarded for this and therefore it has required almost zero admin effort from the Office.

There are discussions (I believe) about its commercialisation for FIDE as an end user along with the "normal" CoM tests.

I suspect the FIDE Arbiters test activity has been one of the best kept secrets of CoM in recent months.

There is of course, potential to use the platform for say the IO exam.

SmartChess did want to offer their chess application platform to deliver CoM testing on devices such as iPad, iPhone, Blackberry but they eventually pulled out. This was a potential revenue stream that SmartChess were keen to partner the ECF with.

During this Christmas (I should say Xmas but I won't) period the 2,000th CoM test was taken and passed with the 2018th test being taken today.

Yesterday another complete CoM package (http://www.englishchess.org.uk/?page_id ... uct=497004) was sold which must please the bean counters since the stock has been written-off!

Happy New Year! :D
