The 2025 finals will be held regionally, combining finals where practical to do so.

Lincolnshire and Worcestershire have accepted nominations to play in the Minor Counties Championships. In the rated limited competitions, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire will be playing in the u1850; Worcestershire and Lincolnshire in the u1650 and Staffordshire in the u1450

Nominations to the ECF County Championships (confirmed entries shown in bold) are:

Open: 1. Surrey, 2. Middlesex
Minor Counties: 1. Kent
u2050: 1. Middlesex, 2. Surrey
u1850: 1. Kent, 2. Middlesex
u1650: 1. Surrey, 2. Kent
u1450: 1. Kent, 2. Surrey

In the NCCU, G Man will be entering all 5; I think Yorks will be in the Open, u2050 and u1650, but not the u1450; the u1850 final match is on Sunday, with Merseyside needing to beat York to pip them to the qualifying place

Great to meet the Kent team today and fantastic to chat afterwards over a beer. It was nice both teams paid a bit extra to hold this at the Holiday Inn at Peterborough and made for a brilliant weekend.

U1850 Yorkshire v Suffolk; Middlesex v Cambridgeshire

Sussex 11-5 Somerset, not surprising as the latter were out-rated on each board. There were no short games though.

Venue was Newton Tony, which I initially thought was a typo, but it turns out to be a lovely village near Amesbury, the sort where you would expect to find Miss Marple (although hopefully without all the deaths).

A county match held in a genuinely pleasant venue? My goodness
(Not that the various village halls etc I've seen have been bad, and the dolphin center in Darlington was quite nice.).

U1650 Kent beat Worcestershire so it's G Man v Kent in the u1450 and U1650 Semifinals

Surrey beat Lincolnshire also in the U1650, and will play Yorkshire who beat Hampshire
