In the Minor Counties at Milton Keynes, Leicestershire are 8-6 ahead of Essex with two games still playing. Leicestershire will win on board count if these two games are won by Essex.

Last 2 games were drawn so final score 9-7 to Leicestershire.

All boards were drawn apart from 1 and 2, which were won by Leicestershire. Don't think I've seen so many draws in a county game before.

If boards 1 and 2 were also drawn, then whoever lost the coin toss would have gone through to the Final!

Yorks U180 10.5-5.5 Lancashire U180

The scoreline is an unfair reflection of a very close battle.

Notts U160 4.5-9.5 Yorks U160 (two to play)

Full reports will be on the Yorkshire website soon.

In the other U180 semi-final, I can report an unofficial result (i.e. speaking as someone who played in the match). Middlesex beat Surrey 9-7. Six wins, six draws, and four losses. Bit of a strange match, as Surrey went two up with four games finished, then Middlesex won six and drew four, then Surrey won the last two games (and yes, my game has finished and I'm back home).

Any news on the two Open matches?

There seems to have been less enthusiasm to report the results officially to me today than there was at the Quarter Final stage! :(

Wow, close. Do you know any of the individual results. Was it Bates and Turner on board 1?

I know it came down to the last board (again). Only got a text with the result, so not sure about individual boards, but I believe Matthew Turner was playing for Somerset.

Notts U-160 6 Yorks U-160 10

I was down to make the tea and was a last-minute substitute for Notts. The way I played probably making the tea would have been more helpful. Yorkshire looked to be 11-5 winners but Notts gave the result at least some respectability with a swindle in the last game to finish,
