So after having to lay their cards on the table and make a firm decision on the direction of the country, how did people like the look of today's budget ?

Dropping the price of a pint by a penny was the most important point made. Very important that.

Pensioners need to drink only 30,000 pints of beer to retrieve their lost winter heating allowance.

A "loss" which doesn't apply to all of them, and will be more than made up for in their next pension increase anyway #justsaying
