Using Microsoft Teams for club meetings ?

Has anyone successfully used Microsoft Teams to conduct online club meetings ?

Finding the right email address to use that satisfies MS is challenging.

Any help would be appreciated.

Teams is fine I am using it for work all day at the moment.

It would seem that Teams is either for schools or Businesses and a team member is defined by the domain name of the email provider.

I'd like to use MS Teams for a chess club with a whole bunch of domains. This appears not to be possible.

You can stop zoom bombing by setting up the meeting with a waiting room (you only let in those you want), having microphones off by default and limiting screen sharing to the host. I'm not sure if the last one is possible in the free version of zoom.
Edit: and using a password for each meeting which you don't share with the meeting address but in a different form of communication.

Carl, can you confirm that to add a user to a Microsoft Team then that user must have a current Office365 account ?

One of my Zoom meetings has someone very senior in the Government security service attend which is why the government security service mentions zoom but does not say you should not use it (indeed the cabinet used it for a meeting early on in the crisis see https://bit.ly/gscaccount

There is the ability to enable guest access within your organisation but it would need testing but I assume you do need a business O365 account in the first place to setup the organisation a personal account can’t do it.
