Decided this was a more appropriate place than Deaths and Obits.

The Watergate so-called mastermind (not much of a one, seeing he and all his people got caught) has just passed on. Something of a chess-player, he whiled away part of his jail time playing both OTB and correspondence, and once commented on a blunder by the opposing side in a lawsuit "they've just lost their queen!".
"The chess-board is the world ..... the player on the other side is hidden from us ..... he never overlooks a mistake, or makes the smallest allowance for ignorance."
(He doesn't let you resign and start again, either.)
