Demis Hassabis has, so far, received several glowing mentions by Dominic Cummings in DCs evidence during the current House of Commons Health Committee inquiry. :D

Demis Hassabis credited by Dominic Cummings with helping to persuade those that needed persuading that the herd immunity plan was wrong.

I'm sure he is thrilled to be in such company.

"Cummings says the crisis raises profound questions about a political system that gives people a choice between Jeremy Corbyn and Boris Johnson.

"He says any system that gives a choice between two people like that is obviously a system that has gone "terribly wrong".

"There are so many people who could have done a better job than those two, he says" - BBC report.

Almost anyone, in fact, except the person then holding the comparable job across the Atlantic.

Or Brazil, or India (maybe!) or a few other places :(

Politics really did go very, very strange for a few years.

One of the most illuminating aspects (for myself at least) of DCs recollections was his high praise for a large number of talented individuals that were brought in at short notice who, otherwise would never have been employed by the lumbering Whitehall machine.

Using people such as Demis and others reminded me of the recruitment of chess players, linguists, cruciverbalists, mathematicians and others to Station X.

One wonders how Sir Humphrey Appleby would have coped in early 2020?

Remind me what it was that they did so well?

"Remind me what it was that they did so well?"

Dido Harding helped the spread of the virus by insisting that the Cheltenham horse racing festival should continue, and then became the head of the tracing system which has worked so well... Oh.

Mr Hancock's spokesperson say he rejects Mr Cummings' claims
There's a surprise

I'm pleased to see that the "i" agrees with me that Cummings might well have breached the Official Secrets Act by tweeting COBRA documents. And he may find that if he breaks the law now, he doesn't have protection.

I assume he has lots of money as who would employ him now? He doesn't seem very loyal or trustworthy...

Reverting to the subject matter, Demis has always seemed a very pleasant individual, but I guess in big business you come across a lot who are not!

The government members who he went out of his way to defend?

Might be a clue there.......

Perhaps someone in the tourism industry in the Barnard Castle area will employ Dominic Cummings.
