wales as is usual against england had a try disallowed but the score i think went on the screen so it was 15 3 and i assumed 17 3 that must be my confusion i think or i was watching my own private screening which lied to me.

Mick are you not an england rugby fan then oh, I saw you come from Bolton, i think the chess club i went to in manchester in 1996 was called the white horse in withington and it became the withington peoples chess club. Alan Smith was a member. Cant remember much about it to be honest i only went about 4 times. I played for the team in the national club competition i think it was actually against bolton i was later told by baum who i played that day.

No, I was born in Preston but brought up in Euxton, I live in, but am not from, Bolton; I lived in Bury for a few years and have been a member of Bury Chess Club since 1987

mick its just your name rings a bell with me are you one of the organizers of the Manchester congresses if you are i was the guy who used to turn up hours before the event and get in the way when you used to put out the boards(and pieces) ready to play.

i live in an area where the regional capitol was Manchester (some thought Liverpool but we wont go there!!!!) and when i went to uni (after bachelors) manchester was my choice in 1996 at UMIST.
