Heavens on Earth - a scientific utopia?

This recent article seems to me to be relevant to a number of topics on the forum -

All comments welcome...

But, before David Robertson accuses me of "uncritical googling" - I did not find it that way.
If he does comment let it be at least deconstructively - as we all know he can - not simply destructively.

All it takes John, is for people to realize that perfection is a direction, not a destination, so we can shut the cynics up and the folk who want to keep everything the same.

Thanks, Peter, but I am not sure if even that sage advice will change our current direction - straight to the other place.
What the hell, heaven can wait while we enjoy our miserable earthly existence - such as it is...
There you see, I've gone all negative in anticipation of Dave's withering blast that is sure to come, sooner or later.
