The "article" is actually an advert for a book. This is a comment on the standards of newspapers - not the merits of the book!

If you read to the end of the article, the author's names are presumably not a coincidence.

There is a precedent for chess, that someone established to be cheating by consulting a computer engine during over the board play could be committing an offence of fraud, or obtaining pecuniary advantage by deception.

The Express has the same story.

Indeed not. GM James Plaskett has long believed in Charles Ingram's innocence.

I was advised he did take rather a long time to answer questions.. Like three times as long as anyone else ever ... I must ask James P why this was ?

Wonder what we would do if a chess player suddenly started performing real well beating masters etc ...just pay him the prize money and forget about it ....no

Not at all.
I received a message from a chap called Hibbard a day or two ago and that alone drew me to the existence of these threads.

Since when the playwright, James Graham, got a three part TV Drama shot. It´s also going to be steamed on US TV in 2020.
They´re in Post Production now. Or, as they say in the trade, "It´s a wrap". When he accompanied me as my invited guest in late 2004, Bob Woffinden commented to me in the dressing room; "This is a film".

It was, in every sense of the term, "a show trial".
Therefore it seems fitting that,17 years after, true justice necessitates a denouement in a portrayal by thespians.
For I am sure Ms Clifford is quite right about what´s to happen next -

It will be worth watching for Michael Sheen, but the whole story is of course interesting.
