I don't suppose you've been a fan of the Streatham blog since 2007.

Chess engines think that both you and Ray were wrong and that Ader Hausman was doing OK against his formidable opponent until around move 20.

Thank you, Roger for a fascinating link.

My was caught by this comment:
Andrew on Streatham Blog wrote:It is possible that too many people are making a living in London (and the UK)from chess. I reckon there are about 50 part/full time coaches in London (I may have made this point before). Why aren't there a whole stream of juniors coming through like in the 70s and 80s? I am not sure of the answer but it may be that non-paid amateurs with a love for what they are doing do a much better job (and they have been replaced by professionals).
Ah, but I was so much older then. I'm younger than that now.

My browser flagged it as having malware and wouldn't let me go there.

I think it's important not to attempt to personalize this thread and it might be more productive to look at non chess examples. The goal should be to make both victims and perpetrators aware of what's happening so that such activities will hopefully diminish.

I think that's a great idea, why don't you and Gareth Ellis organise one?
Mick, why bring me into this ?

Although I suppose of all the thread titles, why not after all I've been there before years ago.
Gareth

You strike me as someone who actually gets things done - take it as a compliment :)

If you google "Welsh chess union forum" you get this link

Someone has apparently thought about a Welsh chess forum but did not do much about it.

More likely tried it and couldn't monitor it 24/7 so dropped it, unlike some places.
