And out of the Olympics as well. Such a shame.
But have their hooligans gone home?

Lots of problems in Russian football with racism, violence, to say nothing of the political upheavals and doping

Still, at least they won't be hosting the next World Cup, oh, hang on
Presumably someone said

in the aftermath of Ireland v England in 1995.

England managed to improve things significantly ahead of Euro 96, so let's hope Russia can do the same ahead of the 2018 World Cup.

True, but I have been in a pub full of "supporters" singing No surrender to the IRA (and worse) this century

I think the change for England came post Heysel & Hillsborough, with maybe the 1990 World Cup being the key turning point, I see no evidence of hope with Russia, and lost of evidence of racism in eastern european football

England can't pass, can't cross, can't shoot from distance, and can't finish. There were claims they were due to get the result their good play deserved. Looks more like they were due a bad game.

EDIT: I was too kind, they can't play football, full-stop.

Beaten by a bunch of plumbers. To be fair, they weren't bad.

Well that's two parts of my accumulator done - Brexit, England losing to Iceland, now all I need is Jeremy Corbyn to be replaced by "none of the above".

The Iceland fans were incredible. I would love to see Iceland go on to beat France.

So would I, but they won't. Anyway, I've got a petition going to get this one replayed - I mean, what kind of a result is 2-1?

I'm particularly bitter because I had a free £10 bet and put it on England to equalise, just couldn't believe it wouldn't happen.

Caught by a better team playing on break. Fantastic workrate. Ought to have got the youngster on earlier.
4 years time with Brexit may not have to go through all the heartache of football.
At least rugby, cricket & maybe tennis on the up.

Everyone should be happy. We voted to come out of Europe.

And now we are out of Europe by a majority of two to one.

Thank You England.

I have to go to work tomorrow and face all the Iceland supermarket jokes.

Think I'll phone in sick. :)

Yes, another defeat on ITV

I don't watch the Premiership, but I haven't seen much worse at Gigg Lane that often

At least the rest of the tournament should be enjoyable

C'mon Wales (and Iceland)

I didn’t know he had a position at the ECF

Going out of Europe is not good. Going out twice in one week is unacceptable.
From ITV. Best quote I've heard all year.

I'm getting my money back. On France to get past Iceland at the normally prohibitive 5/1 on. Can't fail.

What are the best odds available on Iceland? :D
