Iranian Horror Show

No, not Short vs Polgar (aka - the fight for Kirsan by proxy) but Under the Shadow

Set in post-revolutionary Iran (filmed in Jordan, apparently) if you like your horror films to be slow-burners, Under the Shadow is really worth checking out.

Yes, early 1980s Iran was terrible: there were terror attacks and bombing anywhere, even in Prime minister's office in the meeting and killed him and his 72 companies. We celebrate this event every year. The attacks are linked to a political party called "Mojahedin-e-khalq" led by late "Masuod Rajavi". The dark group was banished and lived almost 2 decades in Iraq, and seemingly they moved to Albania since.

I don't mean things in Iran are rosy now, but not anywhere like early 1980s. Security is quite good, especially in a destabilized region: there is almost no terror attacks now

For some reason, the title of this thread evoked images in my mind of Richard O'Brien doing pelvic thrusts in downtown Tehran... :?

I guess it would be one of the braver sequels!
