Premier League Fantasy Football

Post by Neil Graham » Sat Aug 08, 2009 9:49 pm

I have started a Chess Fantasy Football League on the Barclays Site here:-

http://fantasy.premierleague.com/

The League is called "Premier Chess" and to join you will need to enter the following code 939236-190560

Some simple rules:-

1) Please register under your own name so I know who's playing
2) No multiple registrations just one team per person

I'll arrange a suitable chess prize for the winner at the season's end provided we get ten entrants.

Please could you circulate to any chess players you know. Look forward to seeing you next season!

Did anyone notice that Chelsea won the Premiership on Sunday? That could have slipped your notice if you were concentrating on the big football news of the weekend that Richard Pert's Tractor Boys were winning this season's Premier Chess Fantasy Football League, scoring 2496 points, that's 33 more than his FIDE grade! Congratulations Richard!

If anyone fancies doing battle over the World Cup, I have set up a Super League within the Daily Telegraph. The PIN is 8001177 and the Super League name is CCF AND CFC - representing the 2 organisations I work for. Allcomers welcome.

I do have a bottle of wine (or similar) for Richard Pert which I will try to get to him in due course!

Congratulations to everyone who played this year - it was a great success.

PS Remind me not to put Rob Green in as my keeper next year

Will this league be renewed for the coming season?

Whatever, I'd recommend closing the league this time after the season has started. It's quite annoying to see someone join the league in March right at the top.

The site claims that the code is not valid to join a league. Does this mean that it has been discontinued? Or is this temporary?

If anyone fancies it, I have again set one up a super league with the Daily Telegraph:
CCF CHESS CHELSEA STEWARDS
PIN: 8000105
The only condition I set is that we want every team to be visible to each other. Not fair otherwise.

I have won our super league for the last 2 seasons (including a 46th placed finish overall in the Telegraph in 2009) and finished top of our recent World Cup Super League. So it's time to knock me off my perch!

You are challenged!

The league owner/administrator has to renew the league and then the website will issue a new code.
You cannot use last year's code for the coming season.

A little longer -

Code to enter this year is 1161800-243947

Usual rules - no pseudonyms please; last date to enter will be 30th September 2010.

I do still have a bottle of wine for Richard Pert who won last year!
