Non-chess players are always surprised that you would have junior competitions with seven hour games and just a single game a day. Then we have the random excursions to show off the delights of Batumi, Elista or some delightful little war zone. However, I think I have found an event that easily eclipses all of this. A gruelling thirteen day marathon with two full days of competitive action

On a serious note it is quite a coup to have this in the UK, so well done to everyone involved
