Does anyone know if the rating system is down. When I try to get to the login page it redirects to the public player lookup page.

Checked with another rating officer last night and they had the same problem. Haven't had a response to my email query from Matt or Brian, so just checking I haven't missed an announcement that it would be down or the login page has moved.

It isn't down, but it's moved.

I get this message.

Which it seems is what you have to type to access the site instead of
http://www.ecfrating.org.uk/v2/new/player.php that I had as a bookmark.

Thank you for that, different to the one I was given a few months ago that worked up until yesterday.

Clicking on the old link (that I have as a bookmark) redirected me to the new address in a matter of seconds.

I would have thought that there would be 301 status code redirects from both https://www.rating.englishchess.org.uk/ and https://www.ecfrating.org.uk/ to https://rating.englishchess.org.uk/ simply to keep the company that sounds like 10^100 happy, rather than the meta tag method employed from https://www.ecfrating.org.uk/ although this does have the advantage of making it transparent to anyone who lands on the page.

I haven't seen a mail from Derrick so have only just picked this up. We have been moving the rating system to a new server and expected no problems with the change. There have been a few teething problems highlighted in last night's LMS upload, but nothing users should notice. If anyone still has
issues then please PM me.

My rating appears to have been revised down in the last few months, why is not immediately obvious though I am sure there is a good reason.

Could it be down to a character string within your rating code?

The games shown in your profile don't match the games in your monthly audits in some cases. Something weird is happening.

What I think is happening here is that some Cumbria files have been withdrawn and resubmitted today. The old ratings wre based on the original submission (hence the audit trail). The new submission puts the results into the records, but the ratings are not inserted until the overnight run tonight.

That is me, yes. It did seem a bit puzzling when I looked earlier.

Brian is on the ball as usual.
It's a game v Kit Hopkins that has 'moved'.

Does Cumbria still submit manually?
I know there is little to do up there except climb a hill (my mate completed his 214th last year) so I guess it gives the grading officer something to do

It all appears to be sorted now, resulting in this month's rating increasing by precisely one point

Does anyone know why the rating system does not allow us to switch from 'original' to 'revised' when looking at a club's or association's list of names?

I have noticed that several of my club's players' revised February ratings are different to their original ratings due to matches on 28 Jan (presumably not entered until after 28 Jan) being added but the only way I can see the revised ratings is to look at each player's profile.
