I have a player whose surname I initially entered incorrectly into LMS (I won't divulge the circumstances on a public forum). I've updated the record on LMS - will this cut through to the database or do I need to contact the team and get it corrected?

Did you resubmit the rating data with the correction before the end of the rating period that the data was originally submitted in?

It hasn't been submitted yet but will be before the next rating script runs for the December list.

If the system has two different names for the same rating code, you will get a warning error message on the next submission. But if you are using the auto submission on the very early morning of the 1st, 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th nothing will hve happened until that runs.

I have come across a couple of players who use different surnames, though the bigger problems tend to be with the University players from overseas; I'm not sure the LMS will change the surname in the ECF Rating system though, even if the rating code you use is the same

It will send you an error message. You might after all have set the player up with the code for someone else.

The Berks LMS had this player as Jon J Ady for a while and as submitter of results I was getting error messages until I changed it.
