Our apologies --- as you may know, the 2009 grading list was scheduled for publication by 10th August. Unfortunately, although the calculations are complete, the other commitments of the volunteers who process the data into the form required by the web site means that publication is likely to be delayed for a further 24 hours. Please bear with us. what you make of that?

I make of that that there will be a delay of 24 hours before publishing the new rating database.

What do you make of it Ian?

OK everyone, here's the plan ... we all chip in a fiver and keep Carl dosed to the eyeballs on speed until the job is done.

Who's with me?

Jonathan

PS: Plan B is we thank Carl very much for his efforts and wait patiently for the results.

I saw a Louis Theroux programme on Crystal meth (derivative of speed) last night. One of the most shocking things I have seen. Ever. Watch it on BBC iPlayer.

Wouldn't wish that on Carl!

oh thanks for the reminder. I meant to watch that but missed it because I was watching Korchnoi win a lovely endgame against Trent.

I gather Louis is not playing it for laughs this time?
