I am sorry to report the death of Martin Costley (1959-2019). Long term Sussex and Midlands player. Funeral details to be announced.

Very sad news. He was an important part of the Staffordshire county team that won the national title in 1992 and was a valued and popular member of Bushbury chess club for many years.

Sorry to hear this. I played Martin three times in County fixtures in the good old days and he was a very pleasant opponent and a nice guy.

The funeral is on Monday December 16, 11am, at Woodvale Crematorium BN2 3QB. All are welcome.
