RIP. Announced just now. Mrs Aronian. Car crash recently. Presumed non-critical. I have nothing more to hand. Shock

Yes, reports had suggested she was on the mend. Just awful.

What awful news. I knew the accident was bad but, like others, was cheered by the belief that she was getting better.

Obituary from Chessbase has a bit more on her wide-ranging activities and achievements. Terribly tragic news. This was a romance the chess world watched blossom and it has been so cruelly cut short. RIP and condolences to Aronian and her family and friends.

I met her once. I think it remains so that in the tens if not hundreds of thousands I have seen play chess, she is the only one I thought could not be a chess player. I was so taken aback I actually went up to her board to check it was her playing and she wasn't just sitting in someone's seat. I just assumed she was a super-model or something.
