It was announced on the Wirral Chess League website on the 22nd November 2019 that Ron Ledgard had died.
He passed away on the 11th November, peacefully, following a long illness with Parkinson's disease.
The funeral took place on the 26th November at Landican Crematorium North Chapel, Birkenhead.
Ron played regularly for Hoylake & Great Meols Chess Club in the Wirral Chess League.
