Some sad news from Kent.
It was reported on the Broadstairs Chess Club website, last year, that Shany Rezvany had died.
Shany had been seriously ill for some time. Broadstairs Chess Club heard the sad news on the 27th October.
He was buried on 18th November in Canterbury Cemetery, after a service attended by family and friends from both Broadstairs and Bridge Chess Clubs.
Shany, born in 1954, was a strong player and key member of Broadstairs' Millar Cup team.
He also played for Bridge Chess Club, for many years, and regularly played in the Thanet League and Ramsgate Summer Swiss Tournament.
There is a picture, tribute and his final game played on the Broadstairs Chess Club website on the News section dated 22nd November 2019.
