Gerald (Gerry) Rowan

I am sorry to inform you that Gerry Rowan died suddenly at home on Tuesday 15th June 2021.
He was an enthusiastic and loyal member of Penrith Chess Club in Cumbria.
Gerry played for many years for Penrith in the Cumbria League. He also played in the Cumbrian Individual Tournament
Gerry played for Cumbria in the NCCU County Championships and in the 2000s was a regular player at the Blackpool Chess Congress where I was introduced to him by one of his teammates one year.
