I am sorry to report that Steve Burndred has passed away.
Steve played for Kidsgrove Chess Club in the North Staffordshire & District Chess Association.
He played for the club for over 30 years until his long time illness restricted his play.
Steve also played for the county in the MCCU championships.
His passing was reported yesterday on the North Staffordshire & District Chess Association website.
