I am sorry to inform you that David Dunn passed away in hospital on 27th November 2021 due to Covid-related complications.
David played for the South Birmingham Chess Club and joined them in 1981.
He eventually became a Division One regular, maintaining a grade in the 180s for a number of years and played top board for South Birmingham on numerous occasions.
David last turned out for the club on 20th October 2021, earning a hard fought draw.
