I am sorry to report that Dennis Thorpe died on 15th May 2022.
Dennis's was a long time Ulster player and Team Captain of many teams.
His successes included captaining four winning teams in the Belfast League in four different divisions.
Dennis was a regular attendee at the Bunratty chess tournament every February and captained the Carrickfergus teams and Ballynafeigh teams.
