This sad news has just been reported on the FIDE twitter page:
"With sadness, we learned that Grandmaster Igor Naumkin passed away in Italy."
"He had just won the weekend tournament in Pegli on July 3 and stayed in Liguria before moving to another chess event.... Our condolences to family and friends."

"Naumkin was a regular at a group called Chess Fight Night where he was known as GM Burger King - look him up on YouTube. The young players there had the opportunity to play an experienced GM. Naumkin's career went back far including games against Tal."

Igor was born in Moscow on 10th August 1965.
He became an International Master in 1988 and then Grandmaster in 1990.
His strongest win came against Alexsander Delchev 2629 Elo.
He lost against our very own GM Bogdan Lalic at a tournament, but apparently he drunk a litre of wine after lunch before the afternoon game.
Igor died on 13th July 2022, in Italy, at the age of just 56.
