It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that Ronnie Sutton passed away in hospital last Friday, 16th January, at the age of 68. I was informed of his death by his son Stuart, who attends Poulton-le-Fylde Chess Club with me.
Ronnie was a member of Great Harwood Chess Club and Blackburn Crusaders Chess Club. He was also a regular player in congresses across the North of England.
I spoke to Ronnie a few times on the congress circuit, particularly at Blackpool last year after his games against a couple of Poulton-le-Fylde players.
Ronnie was a nice guy and a true legend. He will be sadly missed.
RIP
Ronnie Sutton

Re: Ronnie Sutton
Yeah I played Ronnie once or twice in minor sections in the 2010's I remember he was a nice chap - 68 no age at all, cheated out of all your retirement. RIP.
