The title sounds tired and unimaginative.

Indeed. The publishers have asked for your suggestions for the reprint.

What about 'Even though Grand masters usually are desperately lacking in ability to write well, GM Judith Polgar has knocked this one up, don't ask me how but she has. It's not just another dross publication on chess its something you are going to buy or she will send round some henchmen and they will kick your effing head in in front of your bird, rob you, and steal your clothes you bastard...and on their way out of your gaff, they'll kick your dustbin over and piss on your car.' Would that work?

Richard James, an experienced and respected teacher and writer, gives the book a glowing review.

You, on the other hand, are abusive about the book and its female author(s) in particular.

Thank you for your contrary opinion.

Judit's articles in New in Chess are very good, so she can write. I think publishers usually choose the titles or at least advise authors.

I haven't read anything she's written but frankly I find it extremely difficult to believe, too much of a deviation from the norm for GMs.

I very, very much doubt she doesn't even know where to start. Grand masters usually don't. As must have been said ten million times over or more, they should stick to playing chess and leave literature to professional writers. There are exceptions but they are few and far between. Given how lacking in fluency she is when she speaks, I very strongly suspect she's not one of them and more likely some clueless foreigner who doesn't know what she's doing.

I thought we had agreed not to readmit AL to this place?
