Domestic Tournament Cancellations

The Preston Chess Congress which normally takes place towards the end of November at the Harrington Refectory, University of Central Lancashire, has been cancelled.
This was posted on the Preston Chess Club website in the Congress Diary Category:
"The university has informed us that it will cost us 3 times as much to hire a venue as it used to. It is therefore not viable, so we won't be running a congress this year."
