And I got the waiting room, so good news. I'll probably have a few boards for analysis and chairs for players and families to sit and relax.

One week to go till the event, and both sections are shaping up nicely. The open currently has an average ECF strength of 2125.
Open: https://www.vegaresult.com/vega-trn/index.php?id=1548
Major: https://www.vegaresult.com/vega-trn/index.php?id=1549
There is still plenty of capacity, including some free/discounted entries for strong players, so let your chess-playing friends know about it.

One day left till registrations close.
Both section are looking quite challenging.
Open is nearly at 2000 FIDE / 2150 ECF average (and still some free entries for Masters and 2200+ players)
Major is at about 1550 FIDE (5 1600+) and 1700 ECF (10 players in 1700-1900 bracket)

You then select round in the menu and then the round number.
If on a phone the menu may be hidden in a button with 3 lines in either top corners.
You can also access crosstables, round times, etc..
Round 1 is not yet finished but I am uploading results as they come in.

Many thanks indeed and I wish you all the best for the event.

I think none, but a few came to spectate.
On your earlier question about the floor, it is surprisingly quiet. Not as quiet as carpets of course.

Results are out on VegaChess.
Overall the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Players really loved the venue and the location, so did accompanying families.
I personally agree that it was one of the nicest venues I have seen in the UK (trumped by the terrafinals in Blenheim).
I am being bullied (in a friendly way ) into organising another one, but I'll need to make myself comfortable that I can have more players. Until a week before the event, I was looking at a very large loss that I really can't afford. Thankfully I ended with a manageable loss.
