I think such a rule will cost you entries. I wouldn't play with it in force. I also think you'll need extra arbiters to enforce the rule because players are even more likely than normal to break the second sentence of Rule 8.1.3 if their moves are obvious.kishanpattni wrote: ↑Tue Feb 12, 2019 10:46 pmWith the increment I think it is fair for all moves to be recorded during play. I appreciate that all players may not agree.

Thanks for the feedback. I care a lot to do things by the rules and have realized that the 5 min rule regarding notation does apply with 10 sec inc. I will update this on the online entry form immediately.Alex Holowczak wrote: ↑Wed Feb 13, 2019 7:46 pmIt doesn't really matter what you think is fair or not; the issue is what the rules are and complying with them. It's not my responsibility, but I'm quite sure that the ECF's rules for tournaments to be graded don't give organisers the flexibility to use the rule you want to use in their tournaments.kishanpattni wrote: ↑Tue Feb 12, 2019 10:46 pmWith the increment I think it is fair for all moves to be recorded during play. I will be opening a number of polls to help form popular events.Jacques Parry wrote: ↑Sat Feb 09, 2019 11:03 amIf the increment is only 10 seconds, you might want to reconsider the requirement that players must record all the moves.

It is very nice to see someone asking questions and then taking the answers seriously!
