Although it could be something to do with Omicron, just as likely i guess is that it is a residual effect of the original infection. I believe test and trace might even advise people with recent infections not to take tests for a number of months because there is a reasonable chance they will test positive whilst not being infectious. Which of course creates problems for pre-event testing rules (a lot of European countries accept evidence of recent recovery from Covid, possibly for this reason).

Isn’t he ill though, as well as having a positive test? I think a third of Covid cases in the London area are Omicron already.
