Hampshire Open Junior FIDE Blitz 2022

Hampshire Junior Chess Association (HJCA) is delighted to announce our first

Open Blitz Event with a prize fund of £215 minimum.

The event consists of 15 rounds and will be ECF and FIDE rated to be held on Sunday, April 3rd 2022 at

Badger Farm Community Centre, Winchester.

Our experimental FIDE blitz event was warmly received with a large show of hands at the end for a repeat.

15 rounds seemed just about right with everyone exhausted at the end.

Timings worked well and the weather was super even inside the venue.

At round 13 and onwards the pairing software was having a hard time pairing for 20 boards but it got there in the end and found a solution despite anxious moments from the results and pairings team.
