I'm not sure that Ruqayyah is really all that unexpected.

Agreed, she is seed #5 if we look at ECF strength, so not unexpected to see her on board 1.

I assume in the U1000, they are hoping to avoid the family pairing. Organisers won't want it in the final round if they're still in contention...
