South Wales Winter Congress is Cancelled

Post by Wilf Arnold » Wed Jan 06, 2010 5:02 pm

The Congress scheduled for Chepstow this weekend (8-10 January) has been cancelled.

6 inches of snow and sub-zero temps forecast for the next 48 hours have prompted the decision.

Please contact the organisers for further details.

What a missed opportunity. Obviously you should have used the snow to build igloos and offered cheap accommodation. Wilf I'm so disappointed in you.

Seriously though, sorry to hear that.

Commiserations to you and Ian (and Kevin?). Hope the financial loss isn't too steep.

It's an Ian/Kevin tournament - I just turn up and control 'on the day'.

I don't think they will lose too much financially - obviously they've been saved my exorbitant arbiters fees!

I go past Chepstow on my way to work in Bristol, and I've not been in since Tuesday. Being self employed that DOES hurt financially, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

Alex, if you'd seen the way I make snowmen then there's no way you'd go anywhere near my attempts at an igloo!
