I am playing in a tournament in Creon in the Dordogne, which starts tomorrow.
Here are the details:-

I thought I would mention this tournament because of the entry list:-
http://www.echecs.asso.fr/Resultats.asp ... &Action=Ls
That's 120 players, including 5 GMs. I am expecting a tough time as I am ranked 99th!
The first 2 rounds will be accelerated pairings, which I think is fair enough with that many players.
There is also a section for players rated <1600 which has 104 entrants.
It just seems extraordinary that a small provincial town in France can attract this many players. I guess the 2000 Euros first prize might have something to do with it.
P.S. French tournaments do not use Chess results. All the equivalent information is available on the FFE website.
