Hampshire Rapid & Blitz Championships
Continuing the events being held at Barton Peveril 6th Form College in Eastleigh (near Southampton) a two day Rapid and Blitz event is being held on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th September. The following week the same venue will be used for the South qualifier to the UK Open Blitz Championship.

Details
The Hampshire Rapid & Blitz Championships consists of a 6 round ECF Rated Rapid tournament on Saturday 6th September and a 12 round ECF Rated Blitz tournament on Sunday 7th September. Both tournaments will be held at Barton Peveril 6th Form College, Eastleigh, SO50 5ZA.

The tournaments are open to player from all counties, with the highest scoring eligible player in the open being declared Hampshire Champion.

Players can enter one or both tournaments. Each tournament has a maximum of 90 entrants.

Rate of Play:

Rapid: 15 minutes with a 10 second increment from move one.
Blitz: 5 minutes with a 3 second increment from move one.
