Isle of Wight adds a Seniors Section 50+

We are please to announce a new 50+ section for the 2026 IOW Chess Tournament.
This is an Open section and will follow the same schedule as the rest of the Monday to Friday weekday events. Players will be able to spectate live on the Masters games in the theatre after their own games finish.

If this is popular the plan is to introduce an 16+ event in November 2026 at a island hotel. This is during term time and aimed at older players who might want a chess holiday and good room and food rates.
