e2e4 Brighton Congress : 12-14 November 2010

Post by Sean Hewitt » Tue Jun 15, 2010 3:18 pm

e2e4 are delighted to announce their inaugural Brigton Congress will take place from Friday 12th November - Sunday 14th November 2010.

Following the success of recent events we will be holding our first sea side event in Brighton where, as you will know, there is lots to do and good places to eat, drink and have fun!

Brighton will also see our first venure with Barcelo Hotels as the event will be hosted by the fabulous, newly renovated Barceló Brighton Old Ship Hotel, Kings Road, Brighton, East Sussex, BN1 1NR

The event website http://www.e2e4.org.uk/brighton is still under construction. The event will be a 5 round swiss although the exact details, including grading limits, prizes and entry fees have yet to be decided. However, I'm sure you'll want to get the date into your diary now.

Accommodation is available at the four start venue at the special rates of £31 B&B per person per night (based on 2 sharing) and £48 B&B (single).

The dates on the website (5th-7th) do not correlate with the dates you quoted here. I know it's under construction, but that would seem to be quite important...

It was going to be 5-7 originally but that clashes with 4ncl so there has been a bit of negotiation. But under construction means under construction!! However, it should be more to your liking now!

Gosh! An e2-e4 congress slap bang in the centre of the town in its title. Whatever next - an Uxbridge congress actually in Uxbridge? I think you can count me in.

Regards,

Simon Healeas (the player formerly known as Brendan O'Gorman)
