Ilford Congress

This Congress, the 57th to be held under the auspices of the Essex Chess Association, will take place over the bank holiday weekend of 26, 27 and 28 May 2007 at the Redbridge Institute, Gaysham Avenue, Gants Hill, Ilford IG2 6TD. The venue, which is a short walk from Gants Hill Station on the Central Line, offers free parking.
The event is run as a six round Swiss, with two rounds per day. There are three sections:
Open (entry fee £28). which incorporates the 2006/7 Essex Championship and offers a qualifying place for the 2007 British Championship in Great Yarmouth.
Major (entry fee £26) for players graded under 160, which incorporates the 2006/7 Essex U150 Championship.
Minor (entry fee £26) for players graded under 120.
Entries postmarked before 3 May attract a £3 discount: a late fee of £4 is payable for entries on the day. Other discounts available are £3 for ECF direct members and £5 for juniors.
