e2e4 Buxton Congress takes place 15th - 17th March 2013.

There are two FIDE rated sections; Open and U1950 and an ECF graded U135 section.

Colours for all sections will be decided by the Chelsea v Steaua Bucharest Europa League tie being played on Thursday 14th March 2013, KO 20.05 .

If there are an even number of goals in the match, then the top seed in each section will be white in round 1.  If there are an odd number of goals in the match, then the top seed will be black in round 1. Zero goals counts as even for these purposes.

The game finished 3-1 to Chelsea so, with 4 goals in the match, the top seed in each section will be white tonight.
