A 25-board clock simultaneous display by Hastings winner Grandmaster Jahongir Vakhidov from Uzbekistan has been arranged for mid-February.

Date: Thursday 18th February 2016
Time: 7.30pm-10pm
Entry fee: £10
Venue: Hendon Chess Club, Golders Green Unitarians Church, 31½ Hoop Lane Golders Green, London NW11 8BS

Simultaneous Display Details:
– 1hr on the clock for all challengers
– Challengers choose their colour
– No upper rating limit
– No age limit
– Book prizes for the best games

GM Jahongir Vakhidov (current rating 2568, Grandmaster since 2014) is a professional chess player and coach. He is currently the youngest GM in Central Asia and has an impressive ‘chess CV’!
- Winner of the the following International Chess Tournaments in 2015: 91st Hastings International Chess Congress, Polar Chess Capital, 1st and 2nd 4NCL FIDE Opens, 12th Malaysia Intenational Masters Tournament, Best Junior 4th Central Asia Cup, Uzbekistan National Rapid and Blitz Chess Championships,
- Represented Uzbekistan with top 10 performance on his board out of 172 countries at the 41st World Chess Olympiad 2014 in Norway
- Runner-up in the 7th London Chess Classic FIDE Open
- 10 x National Junior Chess Champion in Uzbekistan
- 2 silver medals and 2 bronze medals from Asian Junior championships U12,U14,U18 and U20
- Winner 3rd Central Asia Cup (2013)
- Top-5 result at World Junior U10 Chess Championship (2005, France) & World Junior Chess Championship U20 (2013, Turkey)
- Invited to and played in Closed Round robin ‘‘World’s Youth Stars’‘ 2012 tournament in Saint Petersburg, Russia
