Top board drawn. Board 2 (Hawkins-Emms) looks quite double-edged.
Might see a result there. That is if they can fix the transmission problems!

Yes, it will be a showdown between Emms and McShane in the next round. Trying to work out who will have which colour. Not sure which pairing 'rules' take precedence.

Luke has had 4 whites, John 3 so that should settle it.Christopher Kreuzer wrote:Yes, it will be a showdown between Emms and McShane in the next round. Trying to work out who will have which colour. Not sure which pairing 'rules' take precedence.

Re: British Championship Congress 2017
Unfortunate (from some perspectives) husband-wife pairing today on board 19:
Jonathan Grant 0.5-0.5 Ketevan Arakhamia-Grant
Drawn after 6 moves. At least it wasn't the final round.

Does anyone know who has/might have norm chances going into the final round?

In addition to Richard's earlier post via a quick glance at Chess-results but without doing any calculations:Alexander Hardwick wrote:Does anyone know who has/might have norm chances going into the final round?
IM norm chances:
Andrew Horton
James Jackson
Conor Murphy
There are probably others too, no doubt we'll have a better idea after today's results and tomorrow's pairings are known.
