"This year, the Keith Richardson Memorial Tournament will be held on Saturday the 7th of July at the Camberley Chess Club (CCC) venue on the Frimley Road in Camberley.
Keith was a much-valued member of our club and well known in the chess community. We feel that it is appropriate to continue to run a tournament that is open to all, in respect to him and in his memory. Last year Keith’s family very much appreciated the event and the amount of support. Keith’s wife presented the prizes.
The 2017 winner was Julien Shepley
Start time is 10 a.m.
There is no entry fee and refreshments will be provided.
Books from Keith’s chess library will be on sale and proceeds will go to his favourite charity.
The day will be organised as a 6-round rapid play, with each game being 25 minutes plus 10 seconds increment.
To participate, simply reply to the entries secretary (Christine Coates) at [email protected] with myself on copy at [email protected]
Everyone is welcome and we look forward to welcoming as many participants as possible on the day.
